We'd love to take the time to introduce you to some of our favourite North East wedding suppliers! This week, we caught up with Muscari Events who provide wedding flowers, prop hire and venue styling along with a very friendly and personal service for your big day.
Say hello to Amy Richardson, the face behind Muscari Events. Amy is a wedding stylist and floral designer with a background in fashion. She is based in the North East of England and her enthusiasm for simple design paired with wild, natural unstructured floral arrangements is a perfect fitting if you want your day to be effortlessly stylish and perfectly laid back.
So Amy, please tell us a bit about your business, when you started and what inspired you?
I married in 2013 and planned and styled my whole wedding myself - I loved every minute of it and was devastated when it was all over. At the time I was really demotivated in my job and was desperate for a career change. I had been in retail for 15 years, working in various different visual roles since I was 16. After having my first son in 2015, I knew I had to act as I didn’t want to work retail hours anymore. Having Eli pushed me to start Muscari Events which I named after my Jenny Packham wedding dress. 2016 was the year I started offering a full floral and styling package and I worked on four weddings that year.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
There’s no monotony in my job, I love working with happy couples and creating individual weddings for each and every one of them. Getting to work at different venues is fun too!
What makes you different and stand out in the wedding market?
I’m true to my style - I love laid back, rustic/boho styling. I stay in my lane and stick to what I’m best at, instead of trying to be a jack of all trades within the industry. By doing this I feel like I always attract my ideal client and get to work in my favourite venues.
Tell us a wedding trend you’re loving this year!
I’m in love with Pampas Grass. I have had a little obsession with it for a while now so it’s nice to see how creative people can get with it.
What’s your favourite thing about Bonded Warehouse?
Bonded Warehouse has a special little place in my heart. I have been there from the very beginning and I feel like we have both blossomed side by side as I worked on the photoshoot quite early on when I started Muscari Events. I love how warm and inviting the venue is. It has a capacity of 120 yet it always feels like such an intimate space. I love styling the banqueting tables and the crockery and glassware would be a big selling point for me if I was getting married there - it's amazing. It suits any colour I put with it and it's nice and different to your bog standard white tableware.
Describe your style in 3 words.
Laidback. Boho. Rustic.
If you could work with any celebrity on their wedding, who would it be?
Solange Knowles (Beyonce's sister) had a super cool wedding which would have been amazing to be involved with. Her style and the the photographs are immense. Also, I wouldn't mind working with her sister too - I love her!
We are proud to offer Muscari Events as one of our recommended suppliers!
